Stewardship has been and continues to be generous at St. Mary’s. We use the three tenets of Stewardship: Time, Talent, and Treasure. Even in times of economic hardship, we support the ministries of this parish. We stepped up to cover the loss of a major benefactor two years ago. The Vestry conducted the Stewardship program last year and set the example by giving personal testimony and by increasing their financial pledges. St Mary’s people stand ready to cover the time and talent needs of the parish and the surrounding community.
Headed each year by a church member known for his or her commitment to the [eucharist] mission of St. Mary’s and organizational skills, the Stewardship Ministry is responsible for designing and implementing the annual funds drive for the operating budget of St. Mary’s.
In close consultation with the Rector, the Vestry, and the Treasurer, this ministry analyzes the church’s needs and makes them clear to the members, whose tithes and contributions are the primary source of income for the church. While we are noted for our low-key approach to fund-raising, the continued growth of our programs and services to the community depends on the dedication of this Ministry as they us of our own need to share our time, our talent, and our treasure with Christ’s church.
